Secrets to having the Wedding of your Dreams!
Secret #1.
I have been photographing weddings for almost 30 years! Yes, I find that hard to believe because I still enjoy them! Weddings are very stressful and very hard to photograph consistently well. For the majority of my career, I thought my job was to photograph what you look like on your wedding day. I realized that anyone with a decent camera could do that, including my competition. I WANTED TO BE DIFFERENT! I then decided that I WANTED TO PHOTOGRAPH WHAT YOU FEEL LIKE! That takes a little more work on our part. Helping you to have the most MAGICAL, ROMANTIC, and EMOTIONAL WEDDING DAY of Your Dreams is what we are all about.
Secret #2.
Meet your photographer before the wedding day! Remember, you're not hiring a studio, you're hiring a person. You need someone that you like. They are with you the entire day, representing you and your family. They can make or break your entire wedding day, not just your photographs. If you and your photographer are having fun, the photographs are going to be fantastic. My goal is to create a photograph of you that when you look at it one your 10th anniversary, you will say, "Honey, I remember how I felt when Bob took this photograph."
Secret #3.
Please do not let price determine who is going to photograph your wedding day; the day you have been dreaming about for a long time. I know that you have only so many dollars to play with, but try to invest as much as you can in your photography. Photographers are all artists. We are all different. It's not like buying a TV. You know what model you want and you call all the different stores to get the best price. Whoever can sell you that TV for the cheapest price usually gets the sale. Please don't do that with your photographer. THAT COULD BE A BIG MISTAKE!
Let me tell you a story of what happened to a friend of our family.
"Tom" called me right after he got engaged and was so excited. He asked me to photograph his wedding. I told Tom that I was sorry, but I had already booked his date. I told him how to look for a photographer, what price range to stay in, and even recommended a few that I would trust. When I hung up the phone, I had a feeling that he was not going to take my advice. About a year later, I got a call from Tom and he said he had a "problem". He said, "I'm at work and just got a call from my wife. She just picked up our wedding proofs, and she's crying! What do I do?" I asked him who had photographed their wedding? It was a place I had never heard of. I asked him how much? I couldn't believe that someone would photograph a wedding for that cheap. Tom saved a lot of money on his photography, but now his wife is crying looking at their wedding proofs. Please don't let this happen to you. We have many more secrets that other photographers don't want you to know.
Let's set up a time to talk so we can help you create the most wonderful day possible!
